ADHD is a band that doesn't fit into categories. With their music, they create an acoustic landscape that sounds both organic and electric, mixing elements of jazz, rock and folk. In their immersive and exciting concerts, they manage to put the audience in a trance-like state of collective ecstasy. Both critics as well as fans praise her originality, creativity and virtuosity.
The band name ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) may be a little confusing given the almost hypnotic effect of the musical progressions within the formation with this name, but the musicians also admit a therapeutic effect on the group itself. You can call her music jazz, but you don't have to. The band's influences include Miles Davis as well as Radiohead, Dr. John and Steely Dan. ADHD was founded in 2009 for a festival appearance. The chemistry between the four musicians was right, and just one year later the band's debut album "ADHD" was released, which was named Jazz Album of the Year at the Icelandic Music Awards. In the following years, ADHD continuously released more studio albums as well as a live album. Above all, however, the band toured continuously and thus created a loyal and large fan base. She now invites them to the next acoustic adventure with their current album "ADHD 8" and the accompanying live performances.
