The Jazz Journalists Association has named her Clarinetist of the Year nine times, as well as Grammy nominations, Downbeat Clarinet of the Year and the Grand Prix of the NorthSeaJazz Festival. Paquito D'Rivera himself described her as "one of the best who ever played this instrument". In her quartetinho band, she is joined by Israeli bassist Tal Mashiach, Brazilian pianist/accordionist Vitor Gonçalves, and American vibraphonist James Shipp (all members of her acclaimed Tentet). The four musicians are united by their shared love of the Brazilian songbook. They tell musical stories of Cohen, Mashiach and Shipp and play pieces by the great masters Antonio Carlos Jobim, Egberto Gismonti and many others. The result is boundlessly melodic and lyrical, with a wide range of timbres and subtle details of orchestration.
