Discover the unique voice of Filipino-American jazz singer Angela Grey. She originally comes from NYC, where she also gained her first musical experiences. At just 16 years old, she performed at the notorious Small’s. Shortly after, she moved to France, where she quickly became a regular fixture of the Paris jazz scene. She now performs regularly at the famous Duc des Lombards. Raised from Manila to Manhattan, free-spirited and cheerful, her soulful voice and warm timbre have been compared to the 'Queen of the Blues,' Dinah Washington, as well as Amy Winehouse. Her songwriting blends jazz, folk, and soul, she is influenced by the Beatles, and she has the ability to turn universal human experiences into heartfelt songs. With her warm, expressive voice, Angela Grey moves between jazz, soul, and folk. Her debut album 'Prisoner of Love' includes her own compositions as well as newly interpreted jazz standards. Together with her quartet, Angela Grey presents an evening full of timeless songs and personal stories — and does it in her very own, incredibly charming way.
