Bernard Allison, son of blues legend Luther Allison, has his roots in both the USA/Chicago and Europe and is strongly influenced by his father as well as Texan guitar greats Johnny Winter and Stevie Ray Vaughan. He also adds funk and R ́n ́B elements to create his unmistakable sound. With countless tours, festival appearances and more than 20 albums released, Allison looks back on an impressive career. On his latest album "Loving You", which was released in October 2026, he pays tribute to the many friendships that have accompanied him along the way and at the same time celebrates the vibrant spirit of the blues community. High-profile guests on his new album include guitarists Larry McCray, Devon Allman and Matthew Curry, violinist Heather Hardy, piano virtuoso Victor Wainwright, as well as Bernard's nephew Jasper Allison and niece Lyndsey Allison. The latter has provided additional warmth and soul with her soulful background vocals. At the same time, Allison welcomes rhythm guitarist Stephen Johnson, aka Stevie J Blues, as an important new addition to his band. Johnson, who co-wrote five of the album's seven original songs and was previously a member of LINK Bobby Rush's band, brings fresh momentum to the band's sound together with the well-rehearsed rhythm section – drummer Sam Butts Jr. III, keyboardist Eric Roberts and long-time bassist George Moye. "Loving You" continues Bernard Allison's impressive career.
