The legendary saxophonist Bill Evans has played in many legendary fusion and jazz bands over his more than 40-year career – foremost, of course, being Miles Davis' comeback band. The Vansband, with which he honors Nica once again, he respectfully calls a "one of a kind group." It's an all-star band that reflects the shared musical background of its members: from soul to jazz, from funk to pop. For this tour, Evans has set out to interpret Miles Davis' compositions in his own contemporary style. Bill Evans himself describes it like this: "This performance is an homage to the tradition of musical excellence he instilled in me during my tenure in his historic comeback band, a tradition we are committed to carrying forward."
