The 5-time Grammy-winning pianist and composer Bill Laurance combines the most diverse musical styles seemingly effortlessly. Originally trained as a classical pianist, Laurance has been demonstrating his unique creativity and joy of improvisation as a founding member of Snarky Puppy for many years. His diverse work includes advertising compositions for Apple, film soundtracks such as "Un Traductor" and collaborations with renowned ensembles such as the WDR Big Band and the Metropole Orkest. Most recently, he released the highly acclaimed album "Where You Wish You Were" (ACT Music) together with Michael League. The collective search for new soundscapes has led to the formation of Laurance's trio. The trio has developed a musical kinship that incorporates completely new ideas and instrumentation into the sound palette. Although rooted in the form of the acoustic piano trio, the interest of all three band members in synthesizers, electronics and effects devices gives their work a contemporary touch.
