Bobo Stenson Trio - Auf den 14. März verlegt!Delicate poetry meets free improvisation, Scandinavian melancholy meets Cuban passion. An evening full of musical magic!

Bobo Stenson is one of the big names in jazz – and at 80 years old, he sounds fresher than ever. In the concert with Anders Jormin and Jon Fält, fine lyricism meets free improvisation, Scandinavian melancholy meets Cuban passion. An evening full of musical magic! Stenson is often seen as a kind of father figure for younger jazz musicians from the far north. Together with Jan Garbarek, he drew the attention of many to the quality of Swedish jazz for the first time. The Bobo Stenson Trio's ability to encompass wide-ranging idioms and a wide repertoire within the scope of its own expression has become something of a trademark of the group, leading The New York Times to say that the pianist makes "sublime piano trio records without ever playing too much. It pulsates, moves in waves with long improvised phrases, it is alive". With his long-time companions Anders Jormin on double bass and Jon Fält on drums, he plays pieces and melodies by various Scandinavian composers. Beautiful, quiet piano jazz, which convinces with a fantastic interplay and an almost tangible atmosphere.
