With "Levitar", the Bossarenova Trio takes off lightly and sun-drenched and trusts entirely in the song as a connecting force between continents. After two albums with new interpretations of Brazilian classics, the trio now presents exclusively their own compositions for the first time - songs that also unfold their special effect live. The pieces were created on the road - many ideas came to Joo Kraus on the highway, carried by a "Brazil vibe". The first sketches became demos, to which Paula Morelenbaum gives character with her lyrics. Over months - between Rio de Janeiro, Lisbon and Ulm - the songs developed into a floating, clear soundscape. In terms of sound, "Levitar" is deeply rooted in the Brazilian attitude to life and at the same time unmistakably Bossarenova: transparent, finely balanced and open to electronic elements. Funky, grooving patterns meet soft trumpet, warm voice and virtuoso piano - an interplay that unfolds its full dynamics live and at the same time retains lightness. "Levitar" means "floating" - and so this program is an invitation to let go, let yourself drift and experience the power of this music together in the concert moment.
