Chris Morrissey BandThe bassist of Norah Jones and Mark Guiliana presents his new album 'Infinite Source Of Heat'.

Chris Morrissey has a gift for fusing styles and genres in an incredibly elegant, light-hearted way, so much so that the Chicago Reader described him as someone who is "incidentally a pioneer for the future of jazz." With his brand new album "Infinite Source Of Heart", Morrissey has finally given up crossing two genre worlds and instead stands with both feet firmly planted in a completely new world that is personal and forward-looking, complex but immediate, sonorous and inspiring. According to his own statement, the musician "songwriter, bassist, singer, music director, lion, uncle, lover of most cats and some dogs, New Yorker living in Minnesota, yoga practitioner, wine lover, restaurant regular and joke teller/lover" has toured in his musical career on five continents with the Who's Who of the music world, such as Mark Guiliana Jazz Quartet, Boy George, Gretchen Parlato or Norah Jones. Morrissey shared the stage with Sir Elton John, recorded with Cyndi Lauper, co-produced Jackie Wilson's "Higher and Higher" for the Oprah Winfrey Network, and wrote the in-memoriam arrangement of Charlie Chaplin's "Smile" for The 66th Annual Emmy Awards. He lives in the East Village, what he calls "a pretty nice place for a musician". He is leaving once again for a European tour with his fantastic band to present his new album, released by GroundUp Music, to us - in Hamburg, which is also very beautiful.
