© Kat JarbyWith their circular tour, Girls in Airports 2027 will return to their origins - and at the same time open a new chapter. In February 2027, their new EP of the same name will be released, the first release since 2023 to be created entirely from the band's own creative power. After exciting collaborations with artists such as Teitur, the Aarhus Jazz Orchestra and Halvcirkel, the focus is now back on the essentials: the unique sound language and intuitive interplay of the four musicians. Since 2010, Girls in Airports has been one of the most distinctive voices between jazz and indie in Europe. With ten albums and countless concerts in Europe and Asia, they have gained a loyal international fan base. Their sound is limitless: melodic and atmospheric, at the same time raw, driving and full of the spirit of discovery. Saxophone, keys, percussion and drums merge into a pulsating overall sound, in which rhythm not only accompanies, but also shapes and drives forward. Live it becomes an intense experience. A flowing interplay of driving beats and open soundscapes - sometimes floating, sometimes powerful and physical. Every moment is created in the here and now, carried by presence, energy and a palpable closeness between band and audience. With Circulular, Girls in Airports return to their essence – focused, collective and in constant motion forward.
