Hanno BuschOpen, empathetic, powerful - songs that move between jazz and contemporary pop.

Hanno Busch – who has just been awarded the WDR Jazz Prize 2026 – released his new album Perspective: a multi-layered work with which the guitarist and composer musically captures the pulse of our present. Together with his top-class quartet, Busch succeeds in translating complex emotions between contemplation and turmoil, between inner peace and urgent restlessness into sound. After his first album that won an Echo Jazz award, Busch once again shows himself to be a sensitive sound researcher on Perspective. His new compositions reflect the changing times – an era characterized by efficiency, rapid communication and at the same time a lack of empathy and curiosity for a real change of perspective. In this world of constant reaction, Busch asks the question: What happens when we really listen? The interplay of the four musicians is a dialogue at eye level – open, empathetic, powerful. the songs move between jazz and contemporary pop, leaving room for silence and eruptive energy, for meditation and turmoil.
