Ida Nielsen is a musical phenomenon. The Danish bassist, composer and singer was and is a member of several groundbreaking formations such as Zap Mam, New Power Generation and 3rdeyegirl, the latter establishing her international breakthrough as a backing band for the musical genius of the century Prince, whose first call bassist she was until his death in 2016. In the meantime, the exceptional musician has developed into one of the world's leading bassists who successfully tours all over the world. Her 2023 album More Sauce, Please! marks the return to their roots in heavy grooving funk music, without being a complete departure from influences from reggae, neo-soul and world music. Anyone who has experienced Ida and her exquisite band - perhaps with us last year - will not soon forget their sweaty and captivating performance and will want to experience it again and again.
