He is 78, but Dutchman Jasper van ́t Hof doesn't seem to waste a second of his life on quitting. Creativity, making music, inventing and creating is obviously the best prerequisite for life to remain enjoyable and beautify life for him for over five decades. An expression of this joie de vivre is his current album "Skin Under". Music, born deep from the soul and from the emotions of Jasper van ́t Hof. Seven titles were recorded live in the studio in two days. With "Skin Under", the stylistically enormously versatile and not only figuratively well-travelled pianist, organist and keyboardist adds another musical amulet to his long chain of sparkling musical pearls. This is where van't Hof, one of Europe's most influential pianists for half a century now, and Christoph Lauer have reunited. Lauer's tone and the imagination of his playing are captivatingly powerful and driven by an immense urge for the freedom of music. On the album — but on this evening, Tony Lakatos will take over this part and will be just as outstanding. Jasper van’t Hof's compositions and the new album prove once again that his music transcends all boundaries.
