In short: orchestral jazz of today that is fun. The JazzWerk Hamburg is a collective of Hamburg jazz musicians and presents orchestral jazz in various line-ups and different programs, including octet, nonet and big band format. The members are all renowned soloists and bandleaders of the Hamburg and German jazz scene. The arrangements and compositions are by the Hamburg pianist and composer Dirk Bleese, who is also the musical director.
