Jeremy Pelt has developed from an insider tip to a world star in recent years. More than highly appreciated by fellow musicians, the visionary convinces with a soulful and expressive tone, despite his precise and almost razor-sharp articulation. Without a doubt, he is one of the outstanding young trumpeters of this generation. With his newly formed quintet, he presents songs from his new album.
Pelt has been playing the trumpet since his earliest childhood and studied at the prestigious Berklee College. He moved to New York after graduating and took the scene by storm. His collaborations include performances and recordings with Wayne Shorter, Jimmy Heath, Ravi Coltrane, John Hicks, Roy Hargrove and Cassandra Wilson. Pelt frequently performs with such notable ensembles as the Roy Hargrove Big Band, the Village Vanguard Orchestra and the Duke Ellington Big Band, and is a member of the Lewis Nash Septet and the Cannonball Adderley Legacy Band.
