Antonio Faraò is a pianist of unusual skill. With a career spanning over 35 years, he has established himself as one of the most respected jazz pianists on the international scene. Faraò's style is unique: impeccable technical skill, unbridled creativity, intoxicating vitality and remarkable rhythmic skills. Born in Rome in 1965, he comes from a family with deep musical roots. Thanks to his undisputed artistic talent, he has entered into impressive collaborations with Jack DeJohnette, Chris Potter, Daniel Humair, Lee Konitz, Billy Cobham, Dennis Chambers, Ivan Lins, Ira Coleman, Chico Freeman and John Abercrombie, among others. He recorded his last album "Eklektik" with an incredible line-up of musicians: Snoop Dogg, Krayzie Bone, Marcus Miller, Bireli Lagrène and Lenny White, to name a few. Since 2023, he has been involved in the "McCoy Tyner Legends" project, which will also perform at the Nica Jazz Club on April 10. In this formation, he pays tribute to one of the greatest jazz pianists of all time and shares the stage with world-class musicians. In 2024, Faraò released his new album in a trio with John Patitucci on bass and Jeff Ballard on drums. In a slightly different line-up, with Gene Jackson on drums, he will perform it this evening – musical delight is guaranteed!
