Josh Smith is one of the most exciting guitarists in blues and jazz, but soul and rock are also part of his repertoire. With his breathtaking finger technique and technical brilliance, the 45-year-old is one of the most sought-after musicians on the Los Angeles studio scene. For him, there are no musical limits, most recently he recorded a jazz album – his own studio makes this freedom possible. The child prodigy Smith has been well connected in the scene since childhood: at the age of twelve he was already a regular at blues jams, at 13 he was the permanent lead guitarist of a band and played with Derek Trucks, later with BB King, then he was promoted by the American guitar legend Michael Landau and his friend Joe Bonamassa. Through his deep and unwavering devotion to the blues, he has been able to win over a global following. Together with bass virtuoso Travis Carlton and drum legend Gene Lake, he will delight music fans this evening.
