Julian and Roman Wasserfuhr, whose musical development is reminiscent of Lou Reed's famous album title "growing up in public", are facing an exciting turn in their careers. Her highly acclaimed album "Mosaic", which combines her experiences and encounters of the last few years in a multi-layered work, now finds a successor. The label ACT, with which the brothers have been working for 20 years, will release the new album "Safe Place" by Julian and Roman Wasserfuhr at the beginning of 2025. At this concert, they will exclusively present new music that has not yet been heard anywhere else, thus taking a mysterious look at what may soon come.
Since their impressive debut "Remember Chet" in 2006, a homage to trumpeter Chet Baker, Julian and Roman Wasserfuhr have had a lasting influence on the jazz scene. Her music, appreciated by critics and audiences alike, has made her known far beyond the borders of her hometown of Hückeswagen.
The brothers, known for their musical journeys that have taken them to places such as Gothenburg, New York and the Irish west coast, have already released six successful albums and made a name for themselves in the German jazz scene. With "Mosaic" they have not only summarized their musical experiences, but also laid the foundation for the next chapter of their career.
The announcement that new music will be presented at the upcoming performance at the Nica Jazz Club has already caused excitement among the fans. This concert promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience and give a taste of what's to come after "Mosaic".
With several awards, including the German Jazz Award in Gold, Julian & Roman Wasserfuhr are at the beginning of a new, exciting chapter in their career, which leaves their fans with great anticipation and expectation.
