The world-famous Moroccan percussionist Rhani Krija and the Swedish pianist Jacob Karlzon come from different cultural backgrounds, but are personally and musically on the same wavelength. Karlzon elicits incredible melodies full of melancholy and tenderness but also jazzy improvisations from his grand piano, Krija takes up his musical thoughts and spins them further on his diverse percussion instruments. A lively, highly musical dialogue ensues. This evening promises to be a musical delight!
Karlzon is known for his collaboration with all the jazz greats of the world and is very successful with his trio and the duo with Victoria Tolstoy (ACT Music). Krija regularly performs with greats such as Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, Al Di Meola, Sting and Herbert Grönemeyer.
