A highlight in the program and incomprehensibly still a real insider tip is this band from New York. They are considered the hottest soul gig in a long time. Kennedy Administration are sensual yet punchy, soulful, jazzy and funky – paired with a lot of R&B, hip hop and pop. Namesake and frontwoman Kennedy comes from Detroit. She has a vocal style that is somewhere between Sade and Luther Vandross. Drummer Nat Townsley has worked with Stevie Wonder, Mariah Carey and Nile Rogers (Chic), among others. The band founder is keyboardist Ondre J. Pivec, who has made a name for himself in Lauryn Hill's band and is currently strengthening Gregory Porter's band live. We ́ll meet on the dancefloor!
