Kenny's style, described as a celebrated blend of Amos Milburn and Fats Domino, includes traditional blues, gripping boogie-woogie, and elements of Kansas City swing and New Orleans rhythm. The "Blues Boss" is accompanied by guitarist Heggy Vezzano and saxophonist Davide Pozzolo as well as Russell Jackson on bass and Albert DiMarco on drums.
Wayne's musical journey began with him absorbing the sounds of gospel music, as his father was a preacher. Soon he was involved in jazz and Latin music before the doors to R&B and soul opened for him. Long before moving to Canada, Wayne lived in Los Angeles and also devoted himself to other genres, including swing, bebop, standards, and dance music. Duke Robillard says of him: "Kenny "Blues Boss" Wayne is a monster pianist, imaginative songwriter and soulful singer who captures the essence of old-school blues and boogie while sounding completely fresh and contemporary."
