Lance Lopez, the celebrated blues-rock and Texas blues artist, was heavily influenced by legends like Jimi Hendrix, B.B. King, and Stevie Ray Vaughan. His virtuosity as a blues guitarist was described by Jeff Beck as "extremely exciting and intense." At just 16, Lopez met Billy Gibbons, who continues to be his mentor to this day. Born in Shreveport, Louisiana, Lopez later moved to Dallas and then to New Orleans. By the age of 14, he was already working as a professional musician, performing in the bars of New Orleans' French Quarter. After touring with Johnnie Taylor and Lucky Peterson, Lopez became the guitarist for the Buddy Miles Express. His musical journey took him across Europe, playing with Steve Vai and Jeff Beck. He also received recognition through awards such as the "Blues Band of the Year Award" at the Dallas Music Awards. In the following years, he founded his 'Band of Trouble.' Despite personal challenges, including the struggle with alcoholism and drug addiction, Lopez continues his artistic journey. He released his latest album 'Trouble Is Good' in 2023, solidifying his position as one of the standout figures in blues rock.
