Lawrence Fields is known for his mesmerizing musicality, lightning-fast piano technique, and expressive, personal sound. The music of Fields, who has been a rising star in the piano and keyboard categories of Downbeat Magazine Critics Poll for years, is internationally acclaimed. His bands can be heard in renowned jazz clubs worldwide. Fields is also a key member of some of today's forward-thinking, critically acclaimed groups, including Joe Lovano and Dave Douglas' "Sound Prints" and the Grammy-nominated Chief Adjuah-Christian Scott Group. His acoustic jazz debut "To the Surface" was critically acclaimed, and in his new Supersonic Trio he combines groove-based sounds from the past and present – fusing R&B, jazz, hip-hop and funk into a seamless whole. In early 2026, the first album with his Super Sonic Trio will be released, which has become one of the most popular live acts on the New York scene through regular gigs.
