Leléka, a young multicultural Berlin quartet around the Ukrainian singer Viktoria, whose voice determines the character and atmosphere of this band's music. The band's sound world, which ranges from dynamically grooving passages to delicate folk ballad tones, finds the appropriate framework in a contemporary jazz language, which the quartet has developed into a varied concept. Leléka is the successful example of a young band that occupies a well-considered place within the borderline genre. They were awarded for this at the world music competition creole Berlin and the European Young Talent Jazz Prize Burghausen 2018.
In November 2023, her album "Rizdvo" was released, in collaboration with Maksym Berezhnyuk, virtuoso of various traditional wind instruments. On this album, the band wraps Ukrainian Christmas carols in a new, modern sound language. They will present the program on this evening and immerse the listener in a unique, Christmassy world of sound.
