The Lisa Wulff Quartet plays contemporary jazz in a classical quartet line-up. With saxophonist Adrian Hanack, drummer Silvan Strauß and pianist Frank Chastenier, the bassist and bandleader has put together a colourful quartet of stubborn musicians who give their compositions the right colours. Since 2014, the three musicians (Adrian Hanack, Silvan Strauß and Lisa Wulff) have been working continuously to develop their common sound, to experiment and to always get involved in new paths and adventures. With his experience and unique playing, Frank Chastenier adds a fascinating new facet that lifts the band's sound into new spheres. From groove and swing to free, sound-painterly improvisations or classical-looking works, everything is possible with Lisa Wulff's compositions.
