Lucy Woodward & The Rocketeers"She combines beauty and complexity without any need for compromise between these two traits...the combination of grit and finesse one finds in Woodward’s music is quite rare.” All about Jazz

Her expressive voice oscillates effortlessly between great emotions and familiar intimacy. Through her presence alone, she enters into a dialogue with her audience, telling exciting stories with an incomparable vocal color and facial expressions. But above all, one thing is never missing: the fun of groove and timeless songs!
Lucy Woodward comes from a thoroughly musical background, her mother is a versatile opera singer, her father a conductor and composer. Born and raised in Europe, her family moved to New York with five-year-old Lucy. There she made it from street musician and performances in bars to a career as a pop singer with two Top 40 chart hits. But Woodward wanted something different – so she changed the genre to groovy jazz and so she came across the band Snarky Puppy. With it, she immediately reaps one of her greatest successes: the jointly produced video for the song "Too Hot To Last" is celebrated with more than one million clicks on social media. Lucy Woodward is one of the most versatile singers, who can get involved as a background singer with Rod Stewart or Joe Cocker, and then stand in the spotlight as the front woman of the band Pink Martini at the Montreal Jazz Festival: Lucy Woodward always knows how to inspire. And we love her!
