LucíaThis young Mexican singer bridges the gaps between jazz, Latin and pop with a unique artistic vision.

Lucía, who is only 23 years old, is another voice in the Nica Jazz Club that is definitely worth discovering in international jazz. The young singer from Veracruz, Mexico, bridges the gaps between jazz, Latin and pop with a unique artistic vision. In 2022, she brilliantly won the 11th "Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition" in a star-studded, sold-out performance. Lucía Gutierrez Rebolloso began her musical career at the age of just two as a singer and dancer in her parents' band. At the age of 13, she started studying singing at the Universidad Veracruzana, graduating there in 2022. Lucía has already worked with several world-renowned artists and musicians, including Aloe Blacc, La Santa Cecilia, Quetzal and Alex Mercado. Lucía has just finished recording her first album, which will be released in early 2025 and which she will present exclusively at the Nica Jazz Club with her quartet. Produced by Grammy winner Matt Pierson, it presents Lucía's very own interpretations of jazz standards, classic Spanish songs and current pop songs, on the album together with an extraordinary formation of musicians, including Edward Simon, David Sanchez, Larry Grenadier and Antonio Sánchez. No one should miss this new, stunning voice.
