When his album "Männersachen" was released in 2006, no one could have guessed that the combination of big band sound and German-language lyrics would have such a lasting influence on the music scene. Swing in the pop charts, that had never happened before. Cicero's performance at the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 is also unforgettable. It was a tragedy that this fantastic singer was only allowed to live to be 47 years old. His much too early death was a shock for all fans, colleagues, family and friends at the time. 2026 marks the tenth anniversary of Roger Cicero's death, reason enough for the former comrades-in-arms from his band to musically remember the times they spent together and to take the audience on a journey through time - also into the years before "Männersachen" and with swing, soul, groove and of course the powerful big band sound under the proven direction and with the arrangements of keyboard magician Lutz Krajenski. The singer was the wonderful Atrin Madani, Berlin musicians from a young generation of fantastic jazz artists who reinvent this genre in an impressive way and yet also feel committed to tradition. Madani, who, as he says himself, has been musically influenced by Cicero's music, interprets the songs in his very own way and, together with Cicero's former backing band, bows to a musician who made so many people happy on and in front of the stage in the short time of his life and still does today.
