The Olivia Trummer Trio explores boundaries and feels its way from jazz to pop. Catchy melodies meet spontaneous inventiveness, musical virtuosity meets driving grooves. The German pianist, singer and composer Olivia Trummer is considered one of the most interesting jazz musicians of her generation. With keys and voice, she forms new connections between the genres, for which she has already received many awards. Her years of study in New York City and her close connection to classical music have always served as sources of inspiration. With Makar Novikov, the trio is made up of one of the most famous Russian jazz double bass players. As an experienced accompanist and virtuoso soloist, he has played with Jimmy Cobb, Clark Terry, Jimmy Heath and James Spaulding, for example, and regularly appears with Alex Sipiagin, Antonio Faraò, Chico Freeman and Isfar Sarabski. Drummer Amir Bresler toured the world with world-famous bassist, singer and composer Avishai Cohen. Since 2013 he has been a permanent member of the Omer Klein Trio. His playing captivates with an imaginative fluidity and an irresistible groove.
