In this program, the renowned jazz singer San Glaser and Sascha Rotermund, actor, singer and well-known voice actor (Benedict Cumberbatch, Omar Sy or Jon Hamm), and their musicians celebrate the legendary album "Boy Meets Girl" by Sammy Davis Jr. and Carmen McCrae from 1957. Boy Meets Girl is also the motto of the evening: the two protagonists meet, they are surprised, they sniff each other, they magically attract each other and yet categorically reject each other, they inspire and misunderstand each other - and of course they tease and love each other. A tongue-in-cheek evening about love in no matter how many springs.
San Glaser, her band and Sascha Rotermund have known each other for many years from the joint theatre productions "Jazzterdays" and "Herbst in New York". In both productions, Rotermund was active exclusively as an actor. In the fall of 2023, San Glaser fell ill on the day of a performance. Rotermund jumped in at the deep end and took over the songs without further ado, whereupon the musical director Arnd Geise shamelessly insinuated him: "Hey, you're a crooner!" And then it happened. As soon as San Glaser was back on his feet, the preparations for Boy Meets Girl began. And here they are...!
