Multiple Grammy-nominated soul, blues singer and songwriter Caron "Sugaray" Rayford has released six albums to date and was named "BMA Soul Blues Artist Of The Year" in 2019 and 2020. The Texan began singing and playing drums in church at the age of 7. His gospel influence can still be clearly heard and felt today. Sugaray's phrasing is intimate and his soulful, rough voice suggests that he didn't have it easy in life, as his childhood was marked by poverty and loss.
