Sugaray RayfordWith a 7-member band, he will make Nica burn - finest soul and blues with reminiscences of Muddy Waters, Otis Redding, or Teddy Pendergrass.

Multiple Grammy-nominated soul, blues singer and songwriter Caron "Sugaray" Rayford has released six albums to date and was named "BMA Soul Blues Artist Of The Year" in 2019 and 2020. The Texan began singing and playing drums in church at the age of 7. His gospel influence can still be clearly heard and felt today. Sugaray's phrasing is intimate and his soulful, rough voice suggests that he didn't have it easy in life, as his childhood was marked by poverty and loss. As a teenage African-American, he saw his only chance in signing up for 10 years in the Marines. His professional musical career finally began almost 20 years ago in San Diego as a singer in various R&B, soul and funk bands, until he turned increasingly to the blues and not only found his new home in Los Angeles, but also started his solo career. Rayford, who has now won many awards, is not only an imposing appearance as a "big man". American media describe how his dynamic voice in particular comes across as a "force of nature". You don't just hear them, you also feel them. He is a great singer whose "old school" singing style is reminiscent of Muddy Waters, Otis Redding or Teddy Pendergrass, as well as an energetic entertainer who turns each of his concerts into an unforgettable party with fluid dance steps, room-filling presence and audience proximity. Rayford will bring the Nica to a boil with a 7-piece band, unique in this authentic form!
