For the heads of the band, Linda Baum, vocals and lyrics, and Christopher Baum, keys and arrangements, their current album "Pieces" has a very special, personal meaning, as Linda gave birth to their daughter during production. In the lyrics, they go deep into the human soul. The lyrics reflect vulnerability as well as self-confidence and power at the same time. It is about fears, as well as overcoming fear and hope. Probably the most important theme that runs like a red thread through the album: love. The bond that exists between child and mother or life partners, as well as the safety and security that goes with it. The music itself is a declaration of love to modern jazz.
