The German-Italian Swing QuartetAn evening full of swing, virtuosity, and musical passion – a must for all jazz lovers!

A chance encounter between Bremerhaven guitarist Jörg Seidel and accordionist Roberto Gervasi, who comes from Palermo, quickly gave rise to the idea of an ensemble that ultimately stood together in the studio for their first album in 2025. Gervasi brought clarinetist Nicola Giammarinaro with him and Seidel convinced bassist Jean-Philippe Wadle to join the band - and the German-Italian Swing Quartet was born. "We play classic swing, but we believe that any music we interpret should have swing in it," says Seidel. And so, in addition to titles from the Benny Goodman era, French jazz waltzes, Brazilian choro and bossa nova also sound in this new and fresh sound, which is determined by the chamber music interplay of guitar, clarinet and accordion. Roberto Gervasi, inspired by Frank Marocco, inspires with boppy lines and is considered a rising star in the jazz sky. Nicola Giammarinaro convinces as a world-class soloist with a wonderful tone and rousing phrasing. Jörg Seidel, known for his outstanding casts, together with Jean-Philippe Wadle provides the characteristic Django and Freddie Green touch. On their first tour in October 2025, the ensemble received a standing ovation every evening. Experience an evening full of swing, virtuosity and musical passion - a must for all jazz lovers!
