For eight years, The Jakob Manz Project has been on the rise in the international jazz scene. The quartet, led by the now 26-year-old saxophonist Jakob Manz, suddenly appeared on almost every jazz stage with the release of their first album in 2020. The ensemble plays fresh jazz, powerful and original. Groovy, soulful jazz – that is the passion of this band. The band's music is heavily inspired by jazz, rock, and funk, but it is enriched by the four individual artists with their various influences from soul, pop, world music, and hip-hop. Although Manz and his band are still fairly early in their careers, his extraordinary talent was recognized early on: legends like Randy Brecker, Ack van Rooyen, and Wolfgang Dauner are fans. Hardly any other young band excites their audience in such a way. Whether it's a club or a big festival stage, this band's unmistakable energy permeates every venue down to the last corner and catapults the audience into their multi-layered music.
