The only 24-year-old Haitian-American singer from sunny Florida is currently considered the rising star in the music world in the New York jazz scene. Since the "Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition" was held for the first time twelve years ago, Tyreek McDole has won the main prize of this competition for only the second time before last. McDole prevailed against four finalists selected from over 280 submissions and presented himself to a prominent jury including singers Patti Austin, Jane Monheit and Lizz Wright, bassist Christian McBride and three-time "Grammy" winner and producer Al Pryor. McDole convinces with an already unmistakable vocal color, his singing always hits a very special note. He finally presents his debut album, which the jazz scene has been waiting for with impatience.
