The great Ute Lemper at our place in Nica! She combines pop, rock, jazz, soul, and chanson in a unique way.

Best of Ute Lemper: A poetic journey through a musical life.
Ute Lemper takes us on a journey through the many musical chapters of her life. She tells and sings about stories that have shaped her: excerpts from her celebrated Marlene-Dietrich repertoire, her own songs such as Time Traveler and At the Reservoir, which are more inspired by folk and jazz, her songs with words by Pablo Neruda and Coelho, works by Kurt Weill that she has been drawing for over 40 years, as well as her beloved French chansons, especially the pieces by Léo Ferré, Jacques Brel, Michel Legrand and Édith Piaf. Between Berlin, Paris, New York and the world's great stages, a very personal musical cosmos emerges – poetic, passionate and full of memories. Ute Lemper uses her voice to tell stories of time, love, longing and change, blurring the boundaries between chanson, jazz, theatre and personal songwriting. New York has been her adopted home for 30 years – Ute says: "Many inspirations have arisen from experiences with this city, its diversity, its bubbling music scene and its freedom of thought." At her side for many years: Vana Gierig on piano and Giuseppe Bassi on double bass – two congenial musicians with whom Ute Lemper brings this special musical journey to life.
