Walter RicciAn Italian natural force, energetic and authentic.

The 36-year-old Neapolitan jazz pianist and singer Walter Ricci presents "Naples Jazz," his latest magnificent album, on which he reinterprets famous American jazz standards and enriches them with Neapolitan theatricality and musicality. He has been fascinated by jazz and its many styles since he heard singing greats like Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, and Ella Fitzgerald at the age of eight. He began his professional career at the age of 14 with performances in renowned Italian clubs. In 2006, Ricci was awarded the "Premio Nazionale Massimo Urbani." Shortly thereafter, he toured France, Spain, and Switzerland with saxophonist Stefano Di Battista. He has already worked with stars such as Mario Biondi, Karima, Michael Bublé, Jerry Weldon, Emmet Cohen, Gregory Hutchinson, and many others. At his Hamburg debut last year, the audience celebrated him ecstatically—there is every reason to believe it will be the same this year.
