For over ten years, WEB WEB has stood for uncompromising, visionary jazz beyond fixed conventions. An artistic alliance of extraordinary musicians has resulted in an internationally acclaimed formation with eight albums to date – characterised by the joy of experimentation, sonic depth and radical openness. At the heart of it all is absolute freedom: no hierarchies, no vanities. Instruments are swapped, roles change, perspectives shift – and with each change, a new sound emerges. This principle of listening and letting go is at the core of this band. In terms of sound, they also rely on roughness instead of high gloss. Unusual stereo images, raw energy and deliberate imperfection give the music room to breathe. In this way, an intense, almost psychedelic power unfolds – jazz not as a genre, but as a lived attitude in the moment.
