Each of her concerts is a unique experience, in which grace and intensity merge in such a way that every person in the audience gets the impression that Youn Sun no is singing just for them. The Korean jazz singer and songwriter has always been on the lookout for musical innovation throughout her career. In 2026, she released her 13th album "Lost Pieces" and can look back on a 25-year career as a musician. Her previous album, »Elles«, was a tribute to artists such as Nina Simone, Roberta Flack, Björk, Sarah Vaughan, Grace Jones, Edith Piaf and Grace Slick, whose songs had a great influence on Youn Sun Nah's artistic development. On her new album, she returns with a completely new approach and presents herself as a composer and singer-songwriter. She intuitively combines seemingly indie pop sensibilities with free jazz vocabulary and delicate folk song echoes. Sometimes you feel reminded of indie sounds of The xx. Sometimes you think you're on Broadway, when she lets her voice shine, when it gets smokier: James Bond sounds, jazz club atmosphere, and then she gently gallops away in folk rhythms. At the same time, however, the new compositions follow their very own individual approach. As is well known, Youn Sun no loves the game of exploring the boundaries between recording and live performance in order to reinterpret the songs and elicit completely new facets from them – and everything she does happens with a great, impressive class.
