Zed Mitchell is a musical all-rounder. His five-octave voice makes him an outstanding singer. He is considered one of the best guitarists in Europe and, as a composer and songwriter, has more than 20 released albums to his name. With his band, he has played alongside Santana, Joe Cocker, Deep Purple, Larry Carlton, Robert Cray, Joe Bonamassa, and other greats. He has jammed with singer Bobby Kimball (Toto), bassist T.M. Stevens (Tina Turner, Joe Cocker), drummers Ricky Lawson (Michael Jackson) and John Blackwell (Prince), as well as with Curt Cress and the Blues Company. In 2006, he played with blues legend B.B. King on his last European tour at the final concert in Luxembourg. His guitar solos can be heard on CDs by Eros Ramazzotti (“Musica e`”), Natalie Cole, Udo Lindenberg, as well as with the MSSO (Munich Symphony Orchestra) on the CD "Pop Goes Classic Vol. 5," and in various film projects, e.g., “Indiana Jones.” Whether calm and nostalgic, gentle or dreamy: string magician Mitchell shows just how versatile his guitars sound and how creatively a person can work with scales and harmonies.
